So you are running from fridge to cabinets to pantry to oven … to grocery store for things you forgot. You are in kitchen with all appliances running – not kid friendly. Stress is high. In laws are coming, House is a mess. You cannot cocktail until a more respectable hour … like noon 🙂 What do you do to keep the kids occupied?

So your kids might get bored with tv or you may not be a fan of screen time. No worries. Got some easy games and crafts you can throw together with stuff you probably already have at home.
Decorate the Table: line your table with butchers paper and let the kids decorate. Color it, paint it, sticker it, glue thanksgiving pictures to it, etc. Make centerpieces out of leaves and pinecones from the yard.
Woven Paper Place mats: cut strips of colored construction paper and have the kids weave their own paper place mats. Tape the ends and even laminate it for multiple uses!
Indian Vests: Brown paper bag becomes an Indian Vest. Cut it and let your kids decorate it.
Stuff the Turkey Game: Brown paper bag gets formed into a turkey. Crumple balls of paper and have the kids toss the balls into the turkey butt. Stuff that turkey!

Don’t Topple the Teepee Game: use pencils in this Jenga like game. Pull one pencil out at a time and don’t be the one to topple the teepee!
Shoot the Turkeys: blow up balloons and draw turkey face on them. hang them from ceiling. Give kids nerf guns and see how many they can shoot. You can even assign points to each turkey balloon.
Turkey Baster Relay: Baster blows the feather across the finish line. First one across wins!
